Mia has gone to find a boyfriend!!
Mia, my beautiful house cow has finally become of age!! Three weeks ago, the brave girl went a short distance into a neighbour’s paddock with 10 other heifers and 1 beautiful bull.
Mia, once released from the horse box, ran to the top of the hill and gave an almighty MOOOOOOOO!!! The other occupants of the field heard her greeting and ran towards her, she in turn shrieked and ran away for the mottle crew, back towards her mum…that would be ME!!
Mia, has been getting out of hand for a while, she is fine with me, but to unsuspecting visitors, she was SCARY.
She was in the habit of racing towards quests, bucking and kicking her legs up, at such a speed they literally thought she was going to mow them over!! And, they, were never hurt, but on a few occasions I saw Mia’s front feet literally skid to a halt, NOT the sort of behaviour you want is a 20 ton cow!!
So, she had become of age to have a boyfriend!!
Ask my poor decimated worm farm!!!
Say NO more!!
But, once amongst her own kind, the poor girl, she was SO convinced she was a goat, she had three days of being chased around the paddock by nosy cows and a bull, before she finally realised she was actually amongst family!!
We checked on her every day, I would drive fast towards the paddock, then I had to dis-engage the clutch on the truck, so the engine would be quite, then Mia could be observed in her natural ‘habitat’.
I WAS David Bellamy!!
Way to GO Mia….
