Another Year Has Flown By
Well, it’s that time of year when I look back and see just what has happened to my life over the past 12 months.
Successes and failures, all part of life’s rich tapestry, we can either learn from them or choose to ignore events of the last year.
I think, here on the block, animals have come and gone, all those that have left us will be remembered with a tear or two. So this is too Doris, Solomon, Skye, Jemima and Claudius, you are not forgotten.
And, to the new comer’s, we adore all of you too numerous to mention here, but your stories will be recorded so everyone can get to know you all better.
This close relationship, my partner and I have with all our animals is intentional, they give us SO much and enrich our daily lives with their antics.
Stories galore, we tell anybody who will listen, and they too derive pleasure from our tales. It never fails to brighten up their day at the grindstone.
We, personally, have been forced to endure a year of personal accidents, which have brought physical and never ending personal pain.
But, we appear to have come out stronger for it at the end of the day.
The accidents have reminded us that we are not immortal and things had to change if we were going to live our dream and I can happily say (I think fate has played a part in this) but we are truly now living our dream .
Alot of hard work and energy has gone into this year, along with the nagging pain and inability to function physically on a level we are used to , we have tried and tested our patience which has taken us to new heights.
We, both have worked hard to be able to stay at home and earn our living here on the block.
We are gradually getting to the stage where we will be sustainable from our two acres, we take one day at a time and get a little bit closer to that goal every day.
I have been chipping away at the physical aspects of our lives: building bamboo fences, constructing raised bamboo beds and generally looking after the running of the block.
Donna, has been working hard and into the night to set up our internet business:

I have helped out where I can, time and energy allowing, but all the credit goes to the greatest love of my life for all the hard work and frustrating days spent working through unsolvable problems.
I love you with all my heart for all that effort.

Congratulations to you both, for persisting with your dream. May this year bring further fulfillment and joys, simple abundance, and plenty of belly laughs.
